Need better Nest doorbell notifications

JohnnyNevilane

Since we travel a lot, the main reason we purchased the Next doorbell was to be on top of who rings our door bell when we are not there and know immediately when this happens.
So far we are very frustrated that the only notification is a small banner that is easily missed. Please tell me there is an update in the works for a proper notification on my phone similar to what my Nest Hub Max gives when the bell is rung. This just sounds logical and something essential for an expensive devise like this. Is this coming soon??

Sorry to hear you've been experiencing this, I would love to look into this further for you. What troubleshooting steps have you done on your end so far? I would definitely make sure that your notifications are enabled in the app and on your mobile device.

Best regards,

Brad

There is nothing to troubleshoot,  There is no option to change the notification sounds on the iphone,  We are stuck with the little "ding" and various banner settings.  A permanent banner setting is ok, but the pathetic little "ding" is wimpy and does not get ones attention.  Other apps have the ability to create a custom sound and duration of the notification audible alert.
