Need to save a video clip - where google failed to ID as event

Hello. I have to save a video Clío from my google camera (not Nest). Google failed to identify it as an event, but I can scroll to it in the timeline. How do I do this?

Unfortunately. for the NEWER Google Nest cameras and doorbells that work ONLY in the Google Home app, "You can only download video clips from detected events in the video history."

Some customers in this forum have reported using a 3rd-party screen capture tool to capture the footage they wanted.

Thanks, that’s what I wound up doing. I played the clip on an iPad, and recorded the screen with my cell phone camera. Not as good resolution, but adequate for what I needed. A 4’x8’ sheet of plywood fell onto my porch. Really surprised that the camera didn’t think that was event-worthy

If you are on an iPhone there is a built in screen record feature that will let you capture the clip.  It is a little clumsy to use but it works.

How do we let google know that they need to add the capability to save clips not marked as ‘events’, since the AI is not yet perfect?
