Nest Doorbell suddenly stopped working

After 2 years Nest doorbell stopped working.  Went offline & now will not connect to anything.  Other camera in backyard works fine.  Long steady green light blinks & blue ring is illuminated.  I did several factory resents and removed device from app. Now I can not reinstall the camera because it can not connect to anything.

It doesn't seem that these devices should fail after just a couple of years. It's too bad Google Nest does not offer extended warranty coverage with a Nest Aware subscription, the way Ring does with its "Ring Protect Plus" subscription plan:
