Nest 2nd Gen Camera - Stuck in "Finishing Up"

Stuck in "Finishing Up" stage. Tried everything. What gives? This sucks.

  • Reset the camera.
  • Reset the router.
  • Forgot and re-added.
  • Restarted device.

Seems to be an iOS issue and is incredibly frustrating.

Hi there, 

I can imagine it has been an inconvenience, and I would love to look into this further for you. Try to install the device with another device, even your desktop PC, you can add it in the Google Home Web application. Please let me know if you still need assistance.

Yup. Tired all this. Also impossible to identify camera when plugged into Mac/iOS. I’ve read to download an android emulator. Which is ridiculous. I’ve returned the thing and am going with another brand. 

Consumers, we have choices. Don’t forget that. We shouldn’t need to buy a new device or download an emulator in order to setup a camera that’s touted as a simple and easy smart home solution.
