I have an older Nest 2nd gen outdoor wired cam with no QR code or set up code. I changed WiFi networks, and the troubleshooting told me to disconnect the cam then add back in to the new network. In the final analysis I actually had to build a new home and add the items into the new home, same location just 2nd profile for the home. I was able to remove everything from the first profile and add it into the second profile but this one outdoor cam. Is there any work around for the problem or am I just hosed and need to buy a new cam?
The weather elements removed the printed set up code from the camera housing.

If you have an older Google Nest Outdoor Camera that was installed in the Google Nest app, then you have a 1st gen Google Nest Outdoor Camera. We have several. This camera has no factory reset button and can only be factory reset by removing it from the Google Nest app while you are still on the old Wi-Fi network and can communicate with the camera. After that, the camera needs to be reinstalled in the Google Nest app.
Both the QR code and the 6-character alphanumeric setup code for this camera are printed on the bottom of this camera (near the power cord), but they can wear off or fade over time. If yours has worn away, then there is no other way to reinstall the camera. (We've written down the setup code for all of our cameras for this reason.)
When we updated our Wi-Fi network a couple of years ago, we set the network name (SSID) and password on our new router/modem to the same values used on our old router/modem, and did not have to update or reinstall any of our Google Nest devices.

The older nest products are a PITA. I have been struggling all day with adding the Nest Hello doorbell cam back into service. The factory reset does not want to happen even thought I depressed the pinhole button and doorbell button at the same time. I can never get the proper lights or chime through the doorbell speaker to happen. Twice not it has been trying to connect to the camera for hours.
