Nest Aware on new camera

Hi, I bought a new camera for my backyard. Already having 2 Doorbell cameras i Nest/Google account. Tried to add the new camera in Nest app, but had to set the camera up in Google Home app. Now it is not in Nest app, or in Nest Aware. How do I fix this?

It isn’t compatible with the nest app. 😡

I’ve returned mine and purchased an older version on eBay. (Nest NC2100ES)

Your new camera should work with Nest Aware (our does), but unfortunately you cannot "fix it" to work with the Google Nest app. Google Nest decided to make all of the Google Nest cameras and doorbells released starting in the fall of 2021 compatible ONLY with the Google Home app and NOT with the Google Nest app or the home.nest.com website.

Thank you for your feedback on this issue, I fully understand the frustrations of not having your new Nest Cams in the Nest App or available on https://bit.ly/3HtBgJC web app. I can imagine having to use two different apps at the moment is quite daunting, and could lead to frustration. 

 

However, the new Nest cameras and doorbell are exclusive to the Home app because we wanted to create an integrated experience with your speakers and displays. A Nest Aware subscription applies to all of your cameras, speakers, and displays in the same home structure. Thank you for your continued patience, and support.
