Hi. I have several Nest cameras indoors and outdoors. One of these I purchased as a battery installation indoor/outdoor camera but then added a power cord to keep it running. It worked for a while but then intermittently started going offline with a message notification that the battery needed charging and then it was fully discharged. Now it is permanently offline with the same message. The camera is mounted under an eave and is protected from rain. The blue light is on at the camera and I have tried unplugging the connector at the camera and cleaning the contacts with no success. There is an Xfinity Xpod within 15 feet so Wifi should be fine. I'm out of ideas.

Problem solved. I replaced the AC adapter and now the camera is back online. Thanks for everyone's input!

We have a battery camera that's been plugged in for 18 months with the optional 10-meter power cable, and it's onlline and "Live" all the time. Do you have the cable plugged in with the cable feeding towards the FRONT of the camera? Some customers have had it plugged in backwards, with the cable feeding towards the back of the camera; that looks better, but it's not the way Google Nest set it up to work.

Hi there,
I wanted to pop in and see how things are going. It looks like this has been resolved, so we'll leave this topic open for another 24 hours in case there are any follow-up questions or comments.
Best regards,
