I have two Nest Cam (battery) devices that I cannot get through initial setup, both camera at this point have been charged overnight, have a blinking blue light, and in the Google Home App it never finds the cameras. I have even tried setting up a new home but it will not find them doing that. Bluetooth and wifi are on and working fine.

My Floodlight Nest Cam, (same camera as yours I am told), was very flakey until I did a manual reset. This is a small button on the back of the camera that must be pressed. For me, this meant another ladder trip to a high mounted Floodlight Camera, removing camera yet maintaining it plugged in on the short cord provided. I am not sure if it can be reset without being plugged in or if the Floodlight Camera can just be disconnected and pulled off and the reset done. I got two different answers from Google Support. Resetting while plugged in worked for mine. Again, no plug in required with your camera however make sure it is charged.

Thanks for this, I tried it but it did not work for me. More than likely I will just return and get a different brand, shouldn't be this hard for the money.

I returned the cameras as I could never get them to work and there were no fixes from support. I would reccomend having the developers look into these issues.

Blinking blue like and "something went wrong" during setup. After working on this for hours, I was able to get it to work by NOT using the QR code on the sticker, but instead, select the link at the bottom left that says "I do not have a QR Code" and enter the 6 digit code under the camera. Please note, they are extremely small numbers and will require a magnifying glass. Once I entered these 6 digits, the setup finished and the camera works.
Using an iPhone 12max, not sure if that matters. Hope this helps.

Hey folks,
I wanted to remind you of some Important things to know before you factory reset. After you factory reset your camera or doorbell:
Important: Because a factory reset permanently erases the items listed above, we don’t recommend doing it as a troubleshooting step until you’ve tried restarting your camera and other troubleshooting options.
