I have Two Outdoor IQ Nest Cams, they have been up outside for almost 4 years and the video feed is crisp and clear. Just got two Nest battery cams for Christmas and the video feed is grainy - even on the highest quality setting. Since the new cams only work on the google home app, I had to download to access the new cams. The app is terrible, I mean third party developer type terrible. It’s not easy to navigate at all and it’s not quick - the Nest app works fantastic. I had been waiting for a battery option for a long time, but these are so disappointing I am returning, unfortunately the reviews are accurate. They simply aren’t worth the money and the app would drive me crazy on a daily basis. One last point, theses cameras look and feel much cheaper than previous Nest Cams - I scratched the new cam in several places just during the set up process. Can’t imagine them lasting the long haul outside.
