Nest Cam 1. Not able to add my camera. It was off for a week.

I have a Nest Cam 1.  Been using it for years with no problems. I turned it off to do some work on the house now the Nest App doesn’t recognize the camera. I tried to reinstall but keep getting error messages.

To better investigate this situation, I’d like to ask for the following information:

  • What specific type of Nest Camera do you have? Here’s a helpful article about how to find the firmware version of your device.
  • Where in the Nest app pairing process are you getting stuck?
  • What’s the color of the LED status light?
  • How far is the device from the router?
  • What device and operating system (iOS or Android) are you using to complete the setup?
  • Can you provide which specific error codes you get during the setup process?
