Nest Cam 2nd Generation

sandik

I have a Nest Cam 2nd Generation camera. It shows as an offline device on my Google Home app under the Devices list but not under WiFi Devices. I have restarted the camera, restarted my router, and factory reset the camera. My internet works fine and the other devices in my Google Home app work. When trying to add the camera, it goes through the installation process as if it's working, then I get a "trouble contacting Google" message. I've searched online and can't find help for that particular error.

Hi sandik,

Thanks for reaching out here in the Community and for sharing with us the troubleshooting steps you've done. Let's see what we can do here. To confirm, have you tried reinstalling your Google Home app? What is the light status of your Nest Camera? To isolate this issue, if possible, you may try connecting it to your mobile hotspot. If your Nest Camera connects that means there's no problem with your device. You may also try creating a new home structure and try adding your Nest Camera there.

Hit this link for proper reset steps.

Keep us posted.
