Is the weatherproof cable just a longer version of the included cable? If true then they both are weatherproof and instead should all be called weatherproof cables with different lengths instead of implying that you need to purchase an additional cable just for outdoor use.
BTW the product is titled "Nest Cam (outdoor or indoor, battery)" but in the product drop down for leaving this message it only had the choices "Nest Cam Outdoor" or "Nest Cam (battery)". You can at least pretend you are trying! Issue categories are so limiting too.
