Nest Cam With Floodlight Help

Hi all,

Longtime Nest user starting with the first Dropcam here. I just installed the new Nest Cam With Floodlight and during install realize that this is not like the the others, meaning that it requires the Google Home App. So far this app is extremely cumbersome compared to what I've been using for many years. For example, is there no way to get an overview of all the connected cameras?

Anyway, for the most part I use nest.google.com to view my cameras from my PC while I am working in my home office. Problem is I can't find a way to view the new floodlight camera. Am I missing something here? Seems like a very basic feature, so I must be missing something obvious.

I'm sorry to have to say this, but it looks like you are yet another customer who has just discovered what many of us who have purchased any of the new Google Nest cameras or doorbells released in the fall of 2021 have also discovered. These new Google Nest cameras do NOT work with the Google Nest app and cannot be accessed from the home.nest.com website from our browsers. They only work with the Google Home app.

Wow, thank you for the links.

When I clicked on "store" from home.nest.google and then purchased the new Nest Cam with Floodlight, one would be led to believe it works with that platform...Extremely deceiving.

Yes, indeed, it's deceiving.  I thought, when we got ours, it would work like our existing Nest cameras, only better.  We discovered it has less functionality and does not work like existing Nest cameras.
