Nest Cam playback

Are there ANY plans to fix the playback so it is continuous as it was in the Nest app? If not, then why not let those of us who still are running the old Nest Cam app switch over to it with our new Nest Cams. The playback function in the Google Home app is choppy and inconsistent. I cannot see a continuous stream as I did in the Nest App, I’m willing to hang in there if there is SOME attempt to fix this.

Thanks for reaching out to us, and I'm sorry for the delayed response. 

 

A few questions: What type of Nest Aware subscription you have? If it is Nest Aware base, the playback is will only available if the Nest Cam has detected motion or event. Nest Aware plus on the the other hand, allows you to have a 10 days of continuous 24/7 video history, up to 60 days of event video history clips.

I have Nest Aware plus.

The issue is that the old Nest app playback was very fluid and you can scroll back and see everything as you go. The Google playback is awful. It doesn’t let you see a continuous playback - only shows you what was there if you stop on a specific time. Sometimes there is choppy playback, but it is not even close to the playback provided by Nest. 

Are there *any* plans to address this or should I just buy a different camera next time?
