Nest Camera Outdoor - Familiar Faces “no compatible camera detected”

Hi,

I just got a nest outdoor camera and have subscribed to nest aware but the the google home app still says when I open familiar faces “no compatible cameras detected”. What might be the issue?

Is your Nest Aware subscription for the same Google Nest "home/structure" where your camera is located? You can check in two places. In the Google Home app, connect to your Google Nest "home/structure" (if you have more than one) and go to Settings | Nest Aware to see what subscription applies to that "home". Or go to your camera in the Google Home app and go to Settings | Video | Video history to see what subscription applies to your camera.

thanks for the answer. I checked all of that l, the camera and the subscription is in the same home.

Which camera do you have, the older Google Nest Outdoor Camera (which works in the Google Nest app) or the newer Google Nest Camera (Battery) (which works ONLY in the Google Home app?

My guess is it's because it's a nest camera, they are garbage. Hope you have better luck then I and many others have had with nest
