We have four Google Nest (outdoor, battery) cameras at our synagogue. They’re about 2 years old; installed: new when installed. Three record and live stream just fine. The one “problem child” is the camera in the most critical position (monitoring the entry) and also the furthest from the router (75 feet away), through the length of the sanctuary, walls and doors, i.e. the expected culprits.
We have factory reset the camera numerous times, tested signal strength, added a non-Google extender product half way between the router and the camera and we still experience (a) disconnections or ‘unavailable’ status frequently and, most recently (b) that camera records however will not go live. Has this happened to anyone else who might have a suggestion for this issue?

Yes, if you search this forum you will see a number of people have recorded this problem of not being able to see the LIVE image but the recorded images work okay.
One thing you can try is going to your computer and using your browser go to home.google.com and see if you can see the live images there. Use the exact same google login/password as you do for your Google Home app.
I think your best bet is to open an official support ticket which will let you speak with an actual google person.
