Nest Camera only Slow Charging

Hi!

The longstanding issue of Nest Cams only charging in some kind of slow mode, is there any workable solution to this issue?I have 3 cams, bough 2 +1 so I have two original chargers but all three cams and charger combinations produce the same message of only slow charging available. It means it takes 12-ish hours to charge one cam, which is pretty poor for what is supposed to be a premium product.

Has anyone seen any solutions to the problem beside the standard response of only using Google original chargers, which I believe everyone who ever raised this issue always did?

Thank you for posting here in the community. I'm sorry that your cameras still charge very slowly; this could be frustrating, especially because it takes too much time to charge one camera. Help´s here.

 

For this concern, please review the following article to check out a few recommendations about battery issues for your Nest camera; however, as you mentioned in your post, one of the recommendations is to use the Google original charger to fully charge your Nest cameras.

Hi Byron!

Thanks for taking the time to respond. I think I am doing everything by the book and the only reasonable explanation is that Google shipped faulty chargers or the Nest Cams themselves are poorly designed.

Has anyone ever mentioned having their chargers replaced by Google to see if this experience can be improved?

If the issue is truly within the cam itsels then I guess the only solution is to put them in the bin and go buy another brand.
