Nest Cameras all went offline June 5th at the same time

JFSharpe42

Hello,

I have 5 nest cam battery and a nest doorbell. All hardwired. On June 5th around 9pm EST all of my cameras went offline. The doorbell still works. Yet since then I have not been able to get these devices back online. Anyone else have this bug with the latest update? Really upsetting me because I’ve been having a lot of issues with the WiFi pro and now the cameras add to the drama. Everything else functions on my network as intended. Speeds are great. Any one else experiencing this?

I talked to Google today.

Its a known bug thats been going around the last two weeks, it dont affect everyone… Google say it will be online by itself when they fix it, but dont know when that will be!

Doorbell and cameras all gone offline

@AudiV

I've seen other reports from customers reporting the same thing this morning; they seem to be customers in Europe.  See below.  Maybe you just wait to see if Google Nest resolves it.

Ours are okay (in Minnesota, USA).

I keep having several issues with mains Doorbell camera and second mains Camera with Twin Floodlights going offline. I’ve tried powering off both mains and WiFi Router but can’t get the main camera back online, the doorbell camera is ok. But then again I have had people entering my garden an no recording shows!

Same here, it seems to be a known fault they’re working on.

It would be great if they actually publicly acknowledge this. Reddit/twitter are full of people currently having the same issues; however only standard troubleshooting steps are replied back by google employees. The lack of proper communication is a joke.

In hard agreement here, can we get something official from someone acknowledging this?

My cams are back now!

It seems that every time I am away from the house and off of the home wifi network, I cannot access my camera feeds. I open the app and all show as offline, none will refresh. As soon as I am back home and on the wifi, they all are online and showing me the live feed. I have a battery doorbell cam, 2 battery outdoor cams, and a wired indoor cam. Happens across all four any time I check. Please help.

I am currently also experiencing the same... First my battery doorbell and now all my wired cams around the house appear as offline on the app - but they surely aren't as recordings show that they are ok and my unifi WiFi app says that their connection is excellent???

Same Problem for me, 1/1 Nest Doorbell and 1/2 Nest Cam gone offline, still sending notifications and recording events.
My other Nest Cam is working fine. same Update Release.
I can see them clearly on my router as connected.
It just happened out all of sudden, no changes on my end were made.
I tried to restart them but i'm afraid of a reset and them bugging out on me. I got not time for that atm.

Can you check what the firmware version of the unaffected cam is? Would be interesting to know

That's interesting - thanks! Some reported that their cams worked for a bit after a reset before appearing offline again - maybe just a matter of time:/

Facing the same issue with one of my cameras (Nest Camera Battery), and my doorbell (Battery).

Notifications work, just live feed not. My UniFI controller also shows good connection and if I attempt to perform a Ping/ICMP, they do react constantly

hi all I've got a nest outdoor camera with floodlight and I have no access to live view or to turn floodlight on now it still tells me when it detects people etc outside and I can view them ok so no issue with net to camera so what is this issue as ive had it before but restarting camera and network solved it but nothing now

I have the same issue with my camera and doorbell.  Both say offline, but are still recording events which i can view.  Happened yesterday.

Same here! 3 Nest Cams (without wire) and one doorbell (also without wire) no live stream possible, but events are recorded and can be watched. Router already restarted, doorbell restarted, nothing was useful. how can this be fixed?

Nest Doorbells are offline .

Came here to say the same. I get all notifications, doorbell alerts etc, but can't stream the doorbell & get the message of "doorbell is offline"

Exactly the same problem . Camera doorbell is offline, we can't see live stream but able to see history🙄😞

came back to normal 👍🏻

I have 2 nest battery cameras and a doorbell, also battery.

Today, the doorbell and one camera decided to show offline in the app meaning I am unable to stream live video, the remaining camera is unaffected (furthest camera away from router). I still get notifications if someone presses doorbell or walks into camera view but they're both offline.

I have reset all cameras/doorbell, charged them, uninstalled app/reinstalled and restarted my router and mesh network.

Anyone have an idea what's going on? I've seen some similar posts but no-one actually taking responsibility for the problem.

Hope you can help

My two nest cameras suddenly disconnected from the network two nights ago. Now they will not reconnect. I have completed hard resets on both, uninstalled and reinstalled the app, reset the network. Nothing works. During set up, the light on the camera turns blue, but the app cannot find either camera. Nothing else has changed and every thing else works, including all 3 of my google protect alarms. Any ideas?

I’ve been having this issue for nearly two weeks now. I started a similar thread. No fix as of yet that I’ve seen.

I have read many forums trying to resolve this issue and they all end up the same. No answer to anyone and then no response. Fortunately, I bought mine via Amazon with a 2 year gtee and they have just given me a full refund. I'll go and buy different cameras from a company that actually cares about its customers, rather than just either ignore or cut and paste rote answers without actually understanding the problem.

If you live in the UK, your cameras are covered by the Consumer Goods Act 2015 and, if they are within the Gtee period, you should be entitled to a full repair or refund.
