I have a google nest doorbell (Gen 2) and no matter what combination of wiring I try, it does not ring the chime properly. The chime vibrates but does not ring. If I don't install the connector, the chime rings properly but when the doorbell is not in use, I can hear a faint pulsing sound come from the chime box.
My current setup is that I have the grey wire from the connector going to "T" and the white wire from teh connector going to "1".
I would upload a photo if I could!

Hello, so you definitely want to get the puck connected and working properly. Other wise there is a chance you can burn out the solenoid inside the doorbell Chime. Plus you don't want to hear that annoying buzz all the time.
Here is a video that shows you how to connect the puck. If it doesn't work try reversing the puck wires.

If it still does not work the double check the power ratings on the transform that drives the doorbell. It must be 16-24 VAC (for N. America) and also be rated for 10-40VA. If it isn't then you probably need to replace it. They are available at Home depot or Amazon.
Hope this helps.
