I'm very frustrated with this 3rd Generation Nest Door Bell. I've tried three different transformers and two different chimes. I've also tried with the puck and without and I can't get my chime to work.
1. installed the Nest door bell and it didn't ring the chime with my original transformer and the puck. the plunger would only move halfway and not actually ring the chime.
2. installed new transformer, didn't fix it.
3. called support and they suggested another transformer with the exact requirements. I purchased that transformer and it still did the same thing.
4 installed a new chime and it sill didn't move the plunger hard enough to ring the chime.
5 called support and they suggested removing the puck. and it worked (but for one day)
then the plunger on the chime was constantly going up and down but not ringing.
I had to reinstall the puck so it stops moving all the time.
The chime will ring when i touch the two wires at the front door.
THERE HAS TO BE AN ISSUE WITH THE PUCK OR THE DOORBELL AT THIS POINT BUT I"M TIRED OF THIS! WHAT IS THE FIX? DO THEY HAVE A DIFFERENT PUCK I CAN TRY?

Hello you 100% have to use the puck or else electricity will be fed to the chime and it will buzz (like you are describing) and eventually burn it out.
So I know you probably already tried this but when you go into the Google Home app and view the doorbell and then go into settings make sure you have "RING INDOOR CHIME" turned ON and also select Electronic or Mechanical. If both are correct then toggle them off and exit setting and then go back in and turn them back on.
Hopefully this helps. Let me know if it does or doesn't.

yes thanks for the suggestion but i tried that when I was on the phone with support. it's turned on and set to mechanical.
