Nest Door Bell Wired

dh61

Installed Nest door bell months prior and worked great. Suddenly one day it decided to non stop ring the bell. I messed with setting with the app and then thought perhaps the wall unit of the bell was old and shot. Bought a new wall unit and proceeded to have the same issue. Is the indoor power adaptor shot, if so can I replace that?

Hi dh61,

Thank you for reaching out to the community. I see you’re experiencing trouble with your Nest Doorbell that suddenly the chime is ringing constantly. Even though you’ve already changed the settings in the app and replaced the wall unit but still have the same results. I also understand you’re wondering if the indoor power adapter needs to be replaced. I’m here to help.

To assist you better, please answer the following questions:

  • What type of Nest Doorbell do you have? (Here is a helpful article to identify the model of Nest Doorbell).
  • When did the situation start?
  • Which app are you using to manage the settings for your Nest Doorbell, the Nest app or the Google Home app?
  • Do you have a mechanical chime or an electronic chime?
  • Are the wires connected and properly seated to the Nest Doorbell?
  • Was the Nest Doorbell installed by yourself or a technician?

Please keep me posted on your findings.

Regards,

Byron
