My doorbell fell off the mount and the lens broke when an amazon package was delivered last night. Unfortunately, I'm past my warranty by a couple of months, so couldn't get it replaced. So, I place it back on the mount to at least still use the doorbell function. Someone came to my door today, pressed the doorbell, and again it fell! After closer inspection, the button on the back is stuck in the recessed position. This is why it turns on and appears to be mounted but just falls off if pressed with any upward force. I have a few stairs at the entrance my house, so most people reach up to hit the doorbell without getting to the top step. This upward force pushes the doorbell off the mount if the doorbell button on the back does not pop out. How can a company of this size and capability design/engineer something so poorly? This was an expensive item to simply break due to a design flaw which had nothing to do with the mount installation. Is there a way to just replace the lens? Also, how can I fix the button so at least I have a working doorbell. Extremely frustrating...

Hi there, Jaytron.
Thanks for posting. I'm sorry you're running into this situation with your Nest Camera.
I'd like to ask you a couple of questions:
Were you at home when the doorbell fell off?
Where did you buy the device?
I'd like to take a deeper look into this for you. Please fill out this form with all the needed information, and then let us know once you're done.
Best regards,
Melany

Melany,
No one was home at the time and we purchased it at Home Depot.
