Nest Doorbell Battery not connecting to WiFi

Replacement Nest Doorbell battery will not connect to WiFi. I have another 2 Nest cameras connected, but new doorbell will not. I have rebooted router and phone, I have tried another phone, I have reset doorbell, I have switched of 5G on router and just left on 2.4, I have turned off firewall. I contacted Google and they sent me a replacement and that is the same. Really frustrating, thinking about just replacing all cameras with another make.

I have a Zyxel 4405 router, but next couple of days I am going to change to eero routers, this is my last hope!

Can any help please ?

@PJon3

You've most likely done this, but during the install, are you plugging your battery doorbell into an outlet using the provided USB cable after scanning the QR code, as shown in the install video (https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/10732535), and do you have the doorbell close to a Wi-Fi access point during the install?

And have you tried a factory reset, using the factory reset instructions (not the "Restart" instructions) found in the Help topic below, and then tried again?

Hi, I really appreciate your help, yes I have tried factory reset, I am next to the router and I the doorbell is plugged in. I scan the QR barcode and get to the stage where the doorbell is flashing blue, it tries to connect for a few minutes and then says cannot connect error 0.65.

again thank you for helping

I may be misunderstanding this.. Have you maybe got both wifi and mobile data turned on? I had thus problem from memory and once i switched off mobile data and left wifi on only it connected. Apparently having both on when joining a device can confuse things.

I am having the same issue. I already successfully connected one doorbell and three battery cameras. This new doorbell will not connect. I keep getting the same error message that it cannot connect to the Wi-Fi. While trying to connect it I even deleted the app and then put all the cameras and other doorbell back on but this one will still not connect.

So frustrating, subscription up next month. I am about to try new routers. If that doesn’t work next thing I’m going to try is Ring cameras and doorbell.

Hi All, just changed my router to eero routers and doorbell connected straight away. Do not know what  the issue was with my old router, but sorted now.

Thank you all for your help
