"This video isn't available yet. Check back later...." Google Nest Cameras

I've seen this issue reported as far back as January 2022, with threads often locked or replies disabled within days—suggesting Google struggles to resolve it permanently. As a network engineer specializing in radio and Wi-Fi technology, I've spent over four months troubleshooting, including enlisting my team for a deep-dive analysis. Google's "IT specialists" repeatedly blamed my home network, but that's not the case.

About two years ago, users reported video playback halting at 13 seconds on iOS and Android devices, which seems to have been addressed. However, the current problem persists: significant latency in video recordings during cloud uploads. Our tracing shows the cameras have strong connectivity and power, but data packets from Google's cloud services experience delays, likely due to bandwidth constraints or server-side inefficiencies on the side of the third-party cloud services Google employees.

I've gone in circles with Google support (Ticket 8-7979000039763), receiving nothing but copied-and-pasted responses identical to those in other community posts. It feels like they're hoping users will just accept it rather than investing in fixes, especially if it means higher costs for cloud storage.

I didn't invest in this technology for novelties or casual use—it's for reliable security and documenting activity around my home. With a new business 8 miles away requiring full perimeter video coverage for insurance compliance, I can't afford unreliability.

To anyone facing this: Research alternative products and services. If Nest cameras can't deliver consistent performance for serious security needs, they're not worth trusting.

I am having the same issue.  What in the past 60 days was an isolated issue has become a persistent issue.  Frustrating.
