I have been trying to reconnect my Nest Doorbell (Battery) to my Google Home app unsuccessfully. I had this doorbell linked perviously at a different house and just tried to set it up again at our new house. I can get all the way through connecting to wifi and the screen that says finishing up and then it says "something went wrong" with this message "Try connecting again. If that doesn't work, try rebooting your device or turning your phone's airplane mode on and off before trying again 18.1" I have gone through numerous troubleshooting attempts. Reset the doorbell, turned my phone on and off airplane mode, restarted my phone, closed the Google Home app and restarted it, reset my router, disconnected our wifi extender, etc. I've tried everything. I also tried setting up our new Nest Cam which worked perfectly. I also have a Google Home and Google speaker connected already. So I am at a loss to why the doorbell won't connect.

Having the same issue with a brand new wired 2nd Gen nest doorbell. Tried different networks and restarted several times but it keeps failing.

The LED status light blinks blue as it's trying to finish the setup after connecting to the wifi. It blinks a bit faster while it's doing this before it gives the error message. It blinks yellow and chimes when the set-up fails.
I did remove this Nest Doorbell from my account and then tried to reconnect it.
Originally I was in the other room away from the router, but I moved into the same room and had the doorbell like 3ft away and it still doesn't work.
I can connect other devices to the wifi no problem. I have three other google nest devices currently connected.
No other devices experience issues with our wifi.

I've already tried all of these things and that didn't work. I literally connected a new nest device (nest camera) in the middle of trying all these things for the nest doorbell. It's confusing that all these settings would need to be changed for one device over the other.

Same issue. I’ve tried 15 times. Factory reset then get thru the connection to wifi. Finishing up goes a few minutes then ‘something went wrong”

I figured it out. I went into my at&t smart home app>devices . The doorbell was connected but paused. I unpaused it and voila. The setup completed.
