Hello, I got nest doorbell/camera installed a few weeks ago and the battery is running low and needs to be re-charged every 5-7 days. This is excessive. I called Customer Service and they were not helpful. Claims I must have my Detection on for Vehicles and Pets. I have four zones set up in my front yard so I could limit the notifications and every zone has vehicles and pets turned off. It should only detect people. Any suggestions? I think I have a lemon perhaps but not sure how to prove that and/or actually get a rep who will look at my settings to confirm if there is somehing that can be adjusted to help not drain the battery.

Hello valerie2,
Thanks for reaching out. I'd be happy to take a look into this for you. I have a quick question before diving in deeper. Are you able to view the camera feed? Was there any power outage recently?
Give these steps a try:
Keep me posted.

Hi @EmersonB - This is a nest doorbell and sits flush against my home and therefore cannot be angled in anyway except straight forward. I do keep it connected to charger until the battery is full. There is no power outage. Thanks

Hi valerie2,
Thanks for letting me know about this. If possible, can you share the screenshot of your settings under notification and activity zones? Also have you tried resetting your Nest doorbell to the factory default and re-adding it to the Google Home App?
Looking forward to your response.
Regards,
Emerson
