Nest Doorbell Notifications

When I bought the nest doorbell (battery), I was told to get the nest hub to get notifications for the doorbell and I assumed I would get a loud notification of some sort on the hub when the doorbell is pressed, but I only get a notification on my phone… is it possible to get a loud notification through the hub ?

Yeah I get a notification on every hub or speaker I have. Pretty sure it's on by default, I don't think I had to do anything to get it to work. I guess check the volume of the hub and also make sure they are in the same "Home" is all I can think of.

@Ct4

You have to turn on the "Visitor announcements" option (https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/7672451) for your doorbell in the Google Home app to get notifications on your Nest Hub(s) when the doorbell is pressed. The volume of the announcements depends on the volume level of your Nest Hub.

But you don’t get any type of alert if you are not home. I returned my google doorbell because I wanted to get distinctive alerts on my iPhone when not home and I was getting a regular ding.

Yeah, unfortunately the doorbell notification sound for the 2nd gen Google Nest Doorbell in the Google Home app uses only the default iOS notification "ding" sound (with is not configurable), unlike the doorbell notification sound for the 1st gen Google Nest Hello Doorbell in the Google Nest app, which uses a doorbell chime sound in iOS (though that sound is not configurable).
