Nest Doorbell Peeling - Terrible Customer Service wouldn't happen with Amazon

Hello, I have a couple year old Nest doorbell camera (wired) and the plastic on the front is chipping around the outside.  I spoke with the chat support guy called John, who couldn't even get my name right!!  He said there was nothing they could do as it was out of warranty.  At what point does a consistent equipment failure like this become recall territory.  These doorbells should last for many many many years or are you selling inferior products as part of your brand now! This wouldn't happen with Amazon, customer service with them is a whole different experience. I think I'm going to wean my self of Nest products!!!!!

agree.

I have not heard anything on my case.

I purchased several products of theirs along with subscription service.  If I don’t hear anything it will be time to change.
