I've noticed recently my doorbell just bleeps at people when they ring it outside. It used to chime now it either doesn't or it just does a bleep noise. Anyone had this issue and knows a fix? Its a wired Nest Doorbell V1.

Is that the only symptom you're encountering?
I'm asking because the internal batteries on all 3 of our Nest Hello Doorbells have now failed. (It's a common failure; see the long, 1,000+ replies thread below.) When that happens, the sound outside on the doorbell is just a soft plunk or bleep, the indoor doorbell chime does not ring, the doorbell goes offline for a minute, and we don't get "visitor announcements" on our Nest Hubs or notifications on our phones.
The purpose of the internal battery is to provide power to the doorbell during the instant when power is diverted to run the internal doorbell chime when the doorbell button is pressed. If the doorbell's "Indoor chime" option is turned off in the Google Nest app, the doorbell no longer goes offline when the doorbell button is pressed and everything works normally EXCEPT the indoor doorbell chime.
Google Nest says they "cannot" replace doorbells with a failing internal battery if they're past the 1-year warranty.

So its literally just this issue it connects to the pebble/home hubs in the house and gives alerts on the app on the phone. This is a wired doorbell so not sure whether its the same error as the batteries or not... I reckon it sounds very similar and thus might be a case of replacing it sadly.

We turned off the "Indoor chime" option on all three of our Nest Hello Doorbells over a year ago, and rely now on "Visitor announcements" on our Nest Hubs and Nest Mini. Two of our Nest Hello Doorbells are also peeling, and so are covered with silicone "skins" purchased on Amazon. Other than that, all 3 doorbells (ages 4-1/2, 3-1/4, and 2 yrs) are still working.
We don't want to upgrade to the 2nd gen doorbell, which has a taller and narrower aspect ratio and lacks the "zoom and enhance" feature that we use because two of our doors are recessed.

My wired nest doorbell is no longer playing a chime outside. It plays the chime inside and on my phone without any issues. I'm wondering if this is related to the holiday themes. I had a holiday theme selected. After the holidays, the theme typically automatically resets but now it appears to have reset to a non functional theme. How do I fix this? There are no themes currently presented in the Nest/Home apps.

You could try restarting your Google Nest Hello Doorbell by turning off the circuit breaker for the circuit that includes your doorbell for a minute or so.
We've had to do that a couple of times over the years with our 4-year-old front Nest Hello doorbell to correct anomalies.
