Hi there,
I'm having some difficulties getting this to actually work at all. We had an original gen1 Nest doorbell and upgraded to the new gen 3.
After research I saw our old transformer wasn't compatible so I got a new one from Lowes where it's max 30VA.
Anyways I wired it up and keep getting a blinking yellow light that let's out three beeping sounds.
I'm to a point that I bought the same transformer, new wire 18/2, and have it plugged into an outlet as a test lab.
I followed the wiring instructions, and still get the same issue.
I took a multimeter to the back of the doorbell where it receives 1 wire from transformer, and 1 wire from chime. It reads 19V AC.
I'm truly stumped on this one.
Does anyone have an ideas or recommendations?
Thanks!

Hi @Dixon117,
Thank you for posting in the community. I understand you're having issues with your new Nest Doorbell (wired, 3rd gen) installation, where you're seeing a blinking yellow light accompanied by three beeping sounds, even after checking the transformer and testing the setup in a lab environment. I appreciate the troubleshooting steps you've performed, including replacing the transformer and wiring, and checking the voltage with a multimeter. I'm here to assist you with this issue.
Could you confirm whether the status light is slowly pulsing yellow, or if it blinks yellow four times?
The specific way the status light pulses or blinks will indicate if the issue is due to insufficient power or if the doorbell is stuck in the factory reset process.
You can learn more about this by visiting the article Nest camera and doorbell lights and sounds.
Keep me posted. I'll be waiting for your response.
