Nest Doorbell loses connection when sun hits it

Finally figured it out - every day around the same time (about 4:30pm, depending on the time of year), my Nest Wired Doorbell loses connection for about 1.5 hours. Which just happens to be the time that the sun hits it. Kind of annoying, and I'm surprised that Google never figured this out before selling it. My Ring doorbell never had this problem; maybe I shouldn't have replaced it???

Has anyone else had this problem, and if so, is there any way to fix this? Or is this a problem with all Nest Doorbells?

Thanks,

Never heard of this before, when you say it turns off when the sun hits it, are you getting a ton of sun during that hour and a half?   What's the temperature there when it happens ? Is it year round or only in the summer going offline ?  Wondering if it's overheating which is why I'm asking .

This is Southern California, so not too hot - maybe in the 70s to 80s. The sun hits the side of the doorbell, which is beige, so I don’t think it’s getting too hot, and it doesn’t feel hot to the touch. This has been going on since I installed it, maybe since March.
