Nest Doorbell

Not just streaming issues!
I received a notification while away from home that the doorbell is offline. When I can home I tried restarting it (holding in a pin for 5 seconds) I turn the doorbell over to see the green light on, the white circle illuminated and the two red lights for nighttime footage on. Then nothing.
The green light illuminates sometimes for maybe 30 seconds? As well as the white circle around the button. Then it all goes black and turns off. Pressing the doorbell button does nothing, twice it randomly light up and made the doorbell chime, then after 30 seconds or so turn off again.
No lights turn on when charging (last I checked this morning it had 50% battery left) and I have no clue what to do next… it isn’t to hot or cold either… help?

Hi Sylaboy,

Thanks for reaching out and for the details you've shared.  Try the factory reset. This erases all your personalized settings, deletes the entire video history, and restores the factory default settings. It won’t automatically reconnect to WI-Fi, and you’ll need to set it up again.

Check out this link for more information about it.

Hey Juni,

Thanks for your help, I tried the factory reset and had no luck. After looking into it more, I deleted the doorbell from the google home app to try and redownload it, but still no luck. The green light and white illuminated button kept coming on every 30-60 seconds (really whenever it wanted to) but proved to be nothing as I still couldn't connect it in the app.

I ended up speaking to someone from google, after going through all the resets (reset, factory reset, factory reset on charge), and them having access to see my google home app, it was put down to the doorbell having problems itself. I went into the store the next day to swap it.
