Nest Hello Doorbell

Not really getting started.  I've had a Nest house for many years and want to replace the Nest Hello doorbell with a newer model.

Problem is I can't remember how to release the Hello from it's wall bracket.

Please help a guy out.

See the video on this Google Nest Help topic, starting at about 6:25 on the video, for how to remove a Nest Hello. If you don't have the release tool, you can use a paper clip. We've only removed ours a couple of times over the years; sometimes it's tricky to get the doorbell to release from the mounting bracket.

Thank you for the video.  I think my issue was not being able to find the "tool" and instead trying the smallest microscrewdriver I could find.

Thanks again.  Now onto mounting the new doorbell!

Keep in mind if you go to the new doorbell it will not be compatible with the NEST app on y our phone.  You will be forced to use the GOOGLE HOME app for the new doorbell and it is still lacking many features of the Nest App.   Also  you will NOT be able to look at recorded events from a computer browser.    For me I'm staying with he original NEST HELLO  for now.   We are all hoping the GOOGLE HOME app will get all the features of the NEST app but we have been waiting over 2+ years for this.  And google will not commit to letting the user base know the timeline.
