Nest Indoor IQ Cam - Blue Ring then Turns Off?

Lexer25

Greetings All,

Nest Indoor IQ camera has been working fine since 2018. Now after being unplugged and moved to a different room I get the following:

When I connect it to power it shows a blue ring for a few seconds and then turns off. I can't factory reset it since it won't stay powered on long enough to take the reset. I've tried a good brick from a Nest Outdoor IQ Camera that still works (also 2018) and I'm getting the same results.

I've also removed from my Nest account, recycled Bluetooth on phone and tired several different phones.

Thoughts???

You could try a restart of the camera, and if that does not work, a factory reset:

Sorry; I just noticed you cannot do a factory reset.

Correct... I can't factory reset, holding the reset does nothing.

Hey there,

Thank you for bringing up the concern you're experiencing, I would love to look into this further for you. The first troubleshooting step that I'd recommend would be to restart your device. This process should keep all your settings, and reconnect it to the same Wi-Fi network. This is helpful if it ever freezes, has connection problems, or isn't working normally.

Best regards,
Brad

Hey folks,

I'm sorry for the delay. Could you try moving the camera to a different wall outlet again or plug it back in to the same power outlet where it was working? If it still doesn't work, try using a different power cable and adapter to see if that helps. Keep us posted.

I appreciate the help, Brad.

Thanks,
Archie
