I have a nest outdoor camera, I just charged last night and placed it in place.  Today I received a notification that the battery is dead.  The battery is not holding a charge.

Seems like a normal occurrence by the looks of the hundreds if not thousands of complaints ive seen online unfortunately..

Are they under warranty?

Hi everyone,

@jimlunsford, thanks for reaching out here in the Community. To confirm, how long did you charge it? It takes approximately five hours to fully charge the battery using the provided 7.5W AC adapter and charge cable. As your camera or doorbell learns over time, its battery life estimate will adapt to conditions to improve accuracy. So if there's a lot of recorded activity at the beginning, the estimation will be relatively low. But if the activity drops off after, the battery life estimation will increase. Hit this link for more information. Let us know if you have more questions in mind.

I appreciate your response, Fraa.

Regards,

Emerson
