Is it really not possible to set notifications to send only during the evening hours... from a security camera? Lol... Please tell me that the last 3-4 years of comments on this has been addressed and I'm just a moron for not figuring out where to set this up.
I would argue the most basic, and fundamental point of a "SECURITY" camera is to monitor and record events that happen almost exclusively during the evening/early morning hours.
I have just installed this camera on my driveway and would like it to only send me notifications during hours that I define. This is a seemingly simple software/coding fix/integration that is available with almost all of your competitors. I guess we all just need to bite the bullet and purchase the Chinese camera's (they're all made there anyway) versus supporting an American company. Slim to no chance of a response or fix, but I'm within my 30 day return window. Will give it a few weeks before then... just disappointed that such an obvious feature is not available.

It depends on which camera you have.
If you have a 1st gen Google Nest Outdoor Camera installed in the Google Nest app--as indicated in your post--then you can go to your camera in the Google Nest app, go to Settings | Schedule and set up a schedule.
If you have any of the 2nd gen Google Nest Cameras installed in the Google Home app, you have to create an Automations routine under Settings | Automations in the Google Home app in order to create a schedule for your camera.

We haven't used either feature, so I can't speak to how well they work.
