Nest Outdoor Camera Working, but Floodlight shows offline and is not working

Sometime in the last 12 hours the Floodlight on my new Nest Outdoor camera stopped working. The camera itself works fine still, but the floodlights do not come on in the dark as they normally would and they show as offline in the Google Home app.

It is less than 12 months old. What works to solve this problem?

  • What's the battery status of your Nest Cam when you follow the next steps?
    • Open the Google Home app.
    • Tap Devices.
    • Select the camera.
    • Tap settings.
    • Under Device features, tap Battery.
    • You'll see a description of the current battery's situation.
  • Are you able to see the video history and live video?
