I've read the same posts over and over about removing and re-adding devices, creating a new home, etc. This is utterly ridiculous! Yes, I was able to add my video doorbell battery to a new home, after I told it that I had no other devices already connected. Problem is, I already have 33 devices connected to my home! I have NO desire to disconnect them all and add them to the new home, just because Google has a bug the size of China and won't expend ANY resources to FIX IT!!!! Google, this is beyond ridiculous. It's no wonder you're so far behind in the smart home game. My daughter lives downstairs with her husband (hard times) and they use Alexa. They haven't had a single issue connecting all of their devices to the same WiFi network that I'm using! I had the same issue with my upstairs Nest thermostat and had to create a new home for that one too. But I wasn't going to create a 3rd home just to add one more device, so I deleted that second home and created a new one. Now that upstairs thermostat is disassociated, and who knows if I'll be able to connect it to either home?! When are you going to acknowledge this defect and DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!?!?
