Nest Wired indoor cam - won't load in Nest app

Bought a Google wired indoor cam, opened the Nest app to add the device, scanned the QR code, then it told me to launch the Home app to finish the setup there. Now I can only see my camera in the Home app 🤦🏻‍♀️ I want it in the Nest app!! Please help!

Unfortunately for us customers, Google Nest decided that the new Google Nest cameras and doorbells released starting in Sept. 2021 would work ONLY in the Google Home app and NOT in the Google Nest app or on the home.nest.com. Since we bought a battery camera back then, we've been using 2 apps for our cameras ever since.

So are they sunsetting the Nest app? Is that the plan? I guess I'll be buying a new doorbell and Yale locks, then? Ugh... #firstworldproblems

We understand your concern about controlling your new version of Nest Camera not only from the Google Home app but with the Nest app as well. However, we don't have any news to share about applying this feature through the Nest app. We're always looking for ways to improve and we'll take it as feedback.  I'd suggest you send feedback about your concern using this form to let the Google Engineering team know about your concern.
