Nest app and new camera floodlight

I just bought a Nest camera with floodlight, and am very frustrated that I cannot use it with the Nest app.  You force me to use the Home app, so now I have to manage cameras in two separate apps.  If you are going to do away with the Nest app, PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT YOU DO NOT ALSO DO AWAY WITH ITS FUNCTIONALITY.  The home app does not allow email notifications when the camera sees something.  It does not allow me to look through the recording on my computer.  It does not allow me to save clips of recordings.  The floodlights work very well.  But I bought it assuming I could use the camera in the Nest app, and now I paid a lot of money for less functionality.

I am in agreement robock…I really liked the Neat app and have the same concerns, especially as it comes to recording.

Thank you for your feedback on this issue, I fully understand the frustrations of not having your new Nest Cams in the Nest App or available on https://bit.ly/3HtBgJC web app. I can imagine having to use two different apps at the moment is quite daunting, and could lead to frustration. 

However, the new Nest cameras and doorbell are exclusive to the Home app because we wanted to create an integrated experience with your speakers and displays. A Nest Aware subscription applies to all of your cameras, speakers, and displays in the same home structure. Thank you for your continued patience, and support. Yes.  Why can't you incorporate my new camera into the Nest website, so I can easily see the timeseries it produces and save snippets?  Also, I get notifications onto my Apple Watch, but without copies of the images.  Nest sends emails with copies of what it saw.  Can you please combine these, keeping the best features of both?
