I have a beach house where I have had outdoor Nest cameras that I use and control through my Nest app. I recently bought Nest outdoor (battery--they no longer sell the ones I have at my beach house that comes with the cord) and tried to set up through my nest app. I hit "add product", it scans the QR code and then it tells me to add through Google Home App. I added through Google Home app and the cameras are there and functioning. The cameras do not show up on my Nest app. I have no way to add them. I'd like to get these cameras on the Nest app as I like that app better

I found out this is intentional by google. They’re essentially getting rid of the nest app completely at some point. This is supposed to “improve” the customer experience. Google is ruining Nest

Hey folks,
Thank you for your feedback on this issue, I fully understand the frustrations of not having your new Nest Cams in the Nest App or available on https://bit.ly/3HtBgJC web app. I can imagine having to use two different apps at the moment is quite daunting, and could lead to frustration.
However, the new Nest cameras and doorbell are exclusive to the Home app because we wanted to create an integrated experience with your speakers and displays. A Nest Aware subscription applies to all of your cameras, speakers, and displays in the same home structure. Thank you for your continued patience, and support. I am more than happy to assist you further with this inquiry if you wish. Please let me know.
Best Regards,
Brad.
