Nest battery camera videos

Is there a way to download non event videos. I need 30s-1 minute before a video starts. I can watch it. I can't seem to download it.

When Google Nest decided that its new cameras and doorbells would work ONLY in the Google Home app and NOT in the Google Nest app or on the home.nest.com website, that meant we could not select and download anything that was not flagged as an "event". It's one of several features lost with the new cameras.  On our old cameras and doorbells, we can still do this.

It makes sense that you wanted to include the time before the actual events happened but as of the moment we don't have any news to share about applying this feature to the Nest app or Google Home app.  I'd suggest you send feedback about your concern using this form to let the Google Engineering team know about your concern. While they won't respond directly back to you, this is the best way to let them know about this. Please let me know if you have other questions or concerns as I will be locking this after 24 hours. As an option, you may try using your mobile phone’s default screen recording app to capture the time before the recorded event.
