Nest cam (2nd Gen) light stays green after removal

Hey there,

We have installed a brand new nest cam last year.

Everything worked out fine until just recently.

Yes, we did change the router but it still worked a pretty long time. Recently the camera was dropping off and on from connection.

So I did try to remove the camera from our home and from the router and trying to re-add /-connect it.

I unplugged/restarted the device, the router, and mobile phone. I tried the mobile from my wife to add it.

Everything seems so work until the last step of connecting to the device. It says I should move it.

The problem is that the green light stays solid.

How can we solve this mystery?

Many thanks

Unfortunately like many other Nest camera owners it probably mean the camera is getting ready to die. I had two do the same for about 6 months then one day just stopped working. Nest camera quality suck, wish I had know this before, I have or had over $1500 worth of their equipment and all I got was a sorry and we promise to learn from this. But if you look at all the reply from Google in these forums that's all they ever do, apparently they aren't learning anything but how to steal hard working people's money.

Thanks for your reply!

After hours of checking things in the internet and in the app I finally took a real close look at the camera and found the hard reset button ... After resetting the thing I could add it again to our home.

@Wayne89

I can imagine it has been an inconvenience, and I would love to look into this further for you. When you change your Wi-Fi router, sometimes this can happen. I am glad to hear that after a factory reset it is working again for you. If this happens again, you can try to change the new routers information to the same as your old one and that also tends to work well for users.

Best regards,
Brad
