I have a Nest cam (battery), model G3AL9, is using a wired, weatherproof cable, but shows that the battery is dead. I’ve checked the outlet where it’s plugged in, and there’s nothing wrong there. Do I just have a dead camera? I’ve had it for a little more than two years.

At about 1:15 in the video, you can see how the power cable is plugged into the bottom of the camera.

Are the USB contact points in the base of the camera clean and without corrosion?
We've had a battery camera plugged in for over 4 years now, with no issues. Our camera is protected by a camera shield that keeps the camera pretty dry.

There are no USB contact points. It is literally hard wired.

The 2nd gen Google Nest Battery Camera (Indoor and Outdoor)--as indicated by the model number you provided--is not hard-wired. The oval-shaped plug (which some Google Nest documentation calls a "pogo") plugs into the base of the camera with the power cable feeding towards the FRONT of the camera, and can be removed. We've had one since Sept. 2021, plugged in with the optional 10-meter power cable. There is also a 5-meter optional power cable, and it comes with a 1-meter charging cord.
Our 1st gen Google Nest Outdoor Cameras, which do NOT have batteries, ARE hard-wired.

Based on the research I’ve done, including uploading pictures of my camera, there is no way for me to remove/replace the cable.

I’ve had the same issue. My device
193575011172 has been flaky for months. So I finally had an electrician remove it. The replacement floodlight works perfectly.

I understand you're having trouble with your Nest Camera with Floodlight—specifically, the camera has been disconnecting, and though you decided to remove it, the Floodlight component is still working properly. To help me narrow down the cause of the disconnections, please answer the following questions:
Do you have a wired or a wireless setup for the camera?
Are you currently able to check the camera feed in the app?
Did you receive any notification from the Google Home app when the camera disconnected?
Have you experienced any power outages recently?
When you plug the camera in, can you check the battery status in the Google Home app? Here are the steps to do so:
Open the Google Home app.
Tap Devices.
Select the camera from the list of devices.
Tap Settings.
Under Device features, tap Battery.
Please keep me posted on your findings.
