Nest camera not showing in nest app, how ridiculous

How is no one else complaining or upset that the "Nest Camera" 2nd gen indoor/outdoor doesn't show up in the nest app! It's absolutely ridiculous to call at a Nest camera when it only will show up in the Google Home app. I already have 6 prior gen cameras so those are in the nest app and now my new ones only show up in the home app.

I'm a huge Google fanboy but this is absolutely unacceptable and is basically false advertising. I'm also paying for a nest camera subscription and the camera doesn't show up in that app.

Google Nest Team you need to make this right and make the cameras available on both platforms...

For four years now, ever since the 2nd gen cameras were first introduced (we bought a battery camera in Sept. 2021), customers in this forum (including me) have expressed frustration that the 2nd gen cameras and doorbells work only in the Google Home app and not in the Google Nest app.

We are still using both apps after 4 years, and have not "transferred" any of our 1st gen cameras and doorbells from the Google Nest app to the "Public Preview" version of the Google Home app (available starting in Nov. 2022) because it still lacks many Nest app functions:

But Google Nest still wants us to move to the Google Home app.

The Nest app is far superior than Google Home. By the time the cameras come up in Home, the “motion” has come and gone. Playback is glitchy and choppy when it works. Seriously considering moving to a different camera platform because of the app/UI alone!

Thanks for the comments guys. I didn't realize this was such a long standing issue and can't believe it hasn't been addressed by Google. The fact that one ecosystem of equipment requires you to use two separate apps is absolutely ridiculous

I feel the same way. Besides the 2 app deal, to recharge and then not be able to just use it again without a whole reset and garbage? Crazy. I actually do not like my Nest Cam and will bring it back
