Several users have posted about this already. Those threads have been locked, even when the issue has yet to be resolved. One advised the video previews started working again with no changes on their part, others advised they still have the issue. I have had this issue in my iphone 8 for some time, even before updating to ios15.1. Video preview was working on my ipadPro, and Apple watch, series 3, then after updating to ipados15.1, a few days later, video preview stopped working, and switched to “options” only. Video preview is still working on my Apple watch at the moment. Nest app Software is the latest, 5.67.0. No additional updates showing. All devices have been rebooted, app has been deleted and reinstalled, all software updated as updates come out. All device settings have been checked with no obvious ability to reset to video preview. And as others have noted, video preview for some started working again on it’s own, so no user changes or settings are causing the issue. Please advise if this issue is being investigated and if there is any timeframe for a resolution. Thank you.

I am having the same problem on Android 11. I will intermittently receive video previews with the notifications -- perhaps 5% of the time -- but mostly it's just notifications with no video previews. This started a couple of months ago, and has been pretty consistent.
