Nest camera notifications

kjcgator

I have 6 nest cameras.  Some outdoor and some indoor. 4 were originally setup through the Nest app, and later I added 2 which were set up through the Google Home app. I get notifications from the 2 recently set up cameras, but not the original 4. I have looked at both apps and all 6 cameras are displayed. I have tried to ensure notifications are set up on all cameras, but still can’t get them on the first 4. Any help is appreciated.

@kjcgator

We have a combination of 1st gen cameras and doorbells (installed in the Google Nest app) and 2nd gen cameras (installed in the Google Home app).

Notifications for our 1st gen cameras and doorbells are determined by settings in the Google Nest app and by whether notifications are enabled on our iPhones under Settings | Notifications | Nest.

Notifications for our 2nd gen cameras are determined by settings in the Google Home app and by whether notifications are enabled on our iPhones under Settings | Notifications | Google Home.

There is this troubleshooting Help topic:

Thanks. I think I have the same with 1st and 2nd gen cameras. I have notifications turned on in the Nest app, and am allowing notifications for Nest on my iPhone.  Unfortunately, still not working. Crazy to me that you actually can’t talk to a technician for Nest about problems like this. Appreciate your reply.

@kjcgator

That's odd.
