Hi,
I am trying to register my Nest Doorbell (wired Gen 2), however the QR code and 6 digit code are rubbed off. Is there any other way to register my device to my Google Home app?
Thanks,
Philip

Unfortunately, you need either the QR code or the 6-character alphanumeric Setup Code in order to install a Google Nest camera in the Google Home app.
Several years ago, we got in the habit of writing down and saving the Setup Code for each of our Google Nest cameras and doorbells.

Hi Mpls, so what can I do if the device arrived with both rugged out?

If it were me and I received a new doorbell with the QR code and 6-character Setup Code rubbed out, I would return it to the Google Store if I bought it from the Google Store, because the doorbell is simply unusable without the QR code or Setup Code. I've never had to do that, so I don't know how to do it, but maybe this page would help: https://support.google.com/store/answer/13806656
If I bought it from a retailer, I would return it to the store.
You can also try contacting Support using the link and instructions in the post below:

Thanks,
I've been speaking with Techincal Support and I need to return it to the store. Without the QR code, there is no other way to connect the device to the Google Home app. They will issue a replacement device in its place.
