Nest doorbell alert on Google display

How can I get my Nest doorbell (which rings a chime) to also have my Google display to say "someone's at the front door?"    I have two displays and one of them does give me an alert, but I can't figure out how to get the second one to give me an chime or message.   NOTE: I don't want an alert, I want an announcement when someone pushes the doorbell button.   Thank you.

Hear hear.  You're fortunate in my opinion. Mine does not chime at all on a short run and wired to a transformer i bought at the high end of spec, separately. This is evidently a well known issue,

Hi @Rbretz !

Thanks for posting in the community.
I understand that you currently have a doorbell that works with a normal chime, but you also want to get announcements from your Google display. No worries; I’m happy to help you find a solution.

In order to get this feature working, you need to follow the next instructions:

  • Open the Home app.
  • Tap and hold your device's tile.
  • In the top right, tap Settings, and then go to Doorbell.
  • Turn Visitor announcements on or off.

You can also check the next article for further information: Get doorbell visitor announcements on a speaker or display

Tell me how it goes.

Regards,

Daniel.
