Hi,
I just bought the Nest Battery Doorbell (no chance to wire it in my home) and was unpleasantly surprised to learn that the only indoor sound/chime you can have on your Nest Speakers is the visitor announcement, which is very short, low, and unnoticeable.
I really would like to understand why you can make the doorbell send an announcement notification to your Nest Speaker, but not send a notification to make it say ding-dong. Sounds like such a simple thing.
For that reason, the battery version is unusable unless you look at your phone 24/7 or actually hear the short visitor announcement 😞

Hi carljoe,
Thanks for posting. I understand that you want the ding dong to sound louder when someone is in the door. Currently, just take into consideration, as you already mentioned, that if you want, the sound has to be by the Google Home app or speaker device. I understand how frustrating this can be. But we appreciate your feedback. We're constantly working on improvements, and your input helps us shape future features.
Please let me know if you have more questions.
Best regards,
Jenny
